Ride the Rally Momentum

Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals – 8:15 p.m. ET

The Cubs entered the ninth inning of Tuesday night’s game down 6-1 to the Cardinals. They promptly scored six runs to cap off an incredible rally and the 7-6 win. The momentum they’ll be carrying from that comeback is just one reason we expect Chicago to come out hot tonight.

The other reason is the continued dominance of Kyle Hendricks. After a horrific start to the season, the 31-year-old has notched wins in 10 of his last 12 starts — receiving no decisions in those other two — while compiling a 2.48 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over that stretch. He’s faced St. Louis three times, recording wins every time and never allowing more than two runs.

As such, the Cubbies should at minimum tie the first five innings tonight.
